There's good times afoot....

Seana gets a bike,
Seana gets a bike,
Hi-Ho there she goes,
Seana gets a bike!

I'm so glad my #1 partner in crime is going to have wheels to join me on long rides into the sunset.

Welcome to freedom m'gal. You are the coolest.

Work Route

Yo Yo! So my daily ride to work clocks in just over 6 miles. It takes me just under a half hour. The ride is a pretty smooth cruise out of Greenpoint through Long Island City and over the 59th St. Bridge. After that it's a scramble up First Ave and then across town via 79th St. to Madison. I have to say it is definitely the best way to get to and from. I'll update this post with a map as soon as I can. If you see me on the bridge give a wave... I'll be the guy passing you on the left :)

Let there be BIKE!

Hey gang (future gang). So I purchased my freedom from a guy down in Sheepshead Bay for $125 Bucks on a mild September night and I haven't looked back. That night was certainly a learning experience. After not having any real riding experience since 2001 I rode about 8 miles up Bedford Avenue to Greenpoint. Needless to say I busted my cherry. Since then I have done some basic up-keep, fixed a flat, put on a new rear wheel and upgraded to Tektro brakes. She now rides smooth and easy.

I have done a little bit of research to try and date the frame and I think it is probably a mid 70's steel frame. It's a 12 speed touring bike with shimano derailleurs. It's a great ride and I think I got a awesome deal. So to you random craigslist poster I say THANK YOU! When I picked it up the dude told me that he rode this bike to and from Florida. I hope I can log a similar trip with her some day. I would say I put an average of 56 miles a week on the gal and she treats me right. Alight so check out these picks . I hate to see her chained up but hey, I want to keep her around...

Cheers!
